Diabetes is NOT a Sugar-Disease, but a Fat-Disease, and (as Any Chronic Disease) 100% Reversible – with an All-Natural, Multi-Targeted Approach

Diabetes is only a long, losing battle if you walk down the trails of conventional medicine. However, it is absolutely NOT the hopeless disease most doctors would have you believe.

It’s really not the doctors’ fault, they just believed what they’ve been told. They simply don’t have the RIGHT information.

In reality, you can totally ELIMINATE diabetes (or any other chronic disease) – you guessed it – BY ITS ROOTS – if you know what you are doing.

Like with all chronic diseases, instead of blindly following the establishment’s labeling and pill-pushing propaganda, which instead of curing, just band-aids symptoms and manages disease, you must face the real root causes, and eliminate those to prevent the disease from destroying your life.

One out of three Americans now alive will have the diagnosis diabetes before they die, writes Dr. Mary Vernon, and it is not any better in the rest of the Western world, so it is incredibly important for us to understand what its causes are and what to do about them.

Tragically, a lot of what you heard about diabetes is WRONG. Most doctors simply don’t know. But what makes me even more sad is that there is so much misinformation being spread, by all kinds of self-proclaimed ‘health experts’. Because people are suffering, and have often already given up by the time they come across somebody who could actually really help them.


For example, did you know that diabetes type 2 is actually not a ‘sugar’ disease, but a ‘fat’ disease? That’s a fact, and I will explain it in a minute. But there are so many other things I want you to understand.

For example, the insulin given to diabetics causes weight gain, and the tearing down and wearing down of tissues, among many other things, while it does nothing to the real problem, the root cause – i.e., that the cells are clogged, such as in the case of type 2 diabetes. Type 2 diabetics actually already have too much insulin, as their pancreas has been producing more and more of it, trying to make the glucose molecules go from the blood into the cells.

However, congested cells have a really hard time taking up the sugar from the blood, and that is why blood sugar is high!

And reducing carbs in your diet is also just a dangerous band-aiding approach. Yes, the sugar in the blood will be lower, however, also the glucose in your cells and brain, and we desperately need it there! All our cells run on glucose!

So don’t blame the carbs! Blame the fats (yes, even olive oil and coconut oil) – they are clogging our cells! I guess you’re shocked now, but just think for a moment. If you have a clogged sink drain while your water is running, and your water overflows, will you blame the water or fix the clogged sink? See?!

Diabetes type 2 is 100% curable with an oil-free, whole-food, plant-based diet, HIGH in natural, plant-based carbs and LOW in fats, complemented by a smart, all-natural supplement and lifestyle protocol.

Obviously, a lot of money is made on diabetics, so we’re being told to put a loooot of ‘healthy’ olive oil on our salad. But maybe you’ll just get fat from all the “good” fats you’re eating, and spend lots of money on “miracle slimming pills”. Or even gastric bands.

By the way, most surgeries are just a band-aiding approach as well, such as for arthritis and disc prolapse. Yes, you can kind of fix one joint with surgery, but the parasites eating through your tissues still remain in your body, and will just attack another joint and other tissues in your body. However, get rid of your parasites, and your knee, disc, or whatever else is hurting, actually has a chance to regenerate!

But back to diabetes… As all other chronic diseases, diabetes is also an inflammatory disease, caused by a combination of factors, including stress, chemical and heavy metal toxicity, radiation exposure, magnesium, iodine, chromium, sulphur and bicarbonate deficiencies, and other nutritional imbalances, due to clogged cells and a low-nutritional value, acidic diet filled with toxins and pathogenic parasites.

These factors, by the way, also play a role in the development of type 1 Diabetes. “Monitoring of blood-sugar levels, insulin production, acid-base balance, and pancreatic bicarbonate and enzyme production before and after test exposures to potentially allergic substances reveals that the pancreas is the first organ to develop inhibited function from varied stresses”, writes Dr. William Philpott and Dr. Dwight K. Kalita in their book Brain Allergies.

Parasites & Diabetes

Toxicity & Diabetes

People are being poisoned with foods full of pesticides, herbicides, preservatives, food additives and mercury, just to mention a few poisons that plague just about everyone on earth.

For example, we are receiving, through our air, water and food, about a microgram of mercury a day. Sounds like very little until you calculate that a microgram contains 3,000 trillion atoms with each of them holding the potential to deactivate insulin and the receptor sites crucial to their function.

Many of us cannot process these levels of toxicity especially when we are deficient in basic minerals, which help us deal with mercury toxicity. Moreover, when we are given toxic medicines like Tylenol and antibiotics, both of which decrease the body’s ability to detoxify mercury, we can get serious problems, such as ADD, autism and various other diseases.

Dr. Lisa Landymore-Lim, in her book Poisonous Prescriptions, explains how many drugs used by the unsuspecting public today are involved in the onset of impaired glucose control and diabetes. It is easy to provoke diabetes in experimental animals with heavy metals like arsenic, mercury and even fluoride.

However, mercury toxicity is not always a question of if you were exposed to mercury, more a question of how well your body eliminates the mercury that comes in.

A study published by the American Chemical Society in 2006 showed that mercury is capable of suppressing insulin secretion of pancreas cells through a ROS-triggered pathway. Mercury-induced oxidative stress causes pancreatic beta cell apoptosis and dysfunction, as concluded by the researchers. If one does not understand the Hun Hordes of Mercury story, one cannot truly understand diabetes.

Obviously, reducing cellular and all-over body toxicity is another extremely important basic step of any healing program, including for the treatment of diabetes.

Magnesium is Essential for Diabetics

To reverse diabetes (as well as to cure weight gain, heart disease, PCOS, etc.), we must reverse insulin resistance – a dangerous condition that arises from clogged cells, as well as low serum and intracellular magnesium concentrations.

Magnesium and insulin need each other. Without Magnesium, our pancreas cannot secrete enough insulin, or the insulin it secretes will not be efficient enough to control our blood sugar.

A study published in the journal Clinical Nutrition from a team of Brazilian researchers has found that low levels of Magnesium worsen the symptoms of type 2 diabetes, as this often results in low levels of insulin and elevated blood sugar. A diabetic’s ability to control blood sugar levels is directly tied to their Magnesium levels, as the mineral plays an important role in insulin receptor cells.

Another study published in the journal Diabetes, Obesity and Metabolism found that taking Magnesium supplements helps individuals who have become insulin resistant avoid developing type 2 diabetes.

Magnesium improves insulin sensitivity; it lowers insulin resistance. Insulin resistance and Magnesium depletion result in a vicious cycle of worsening insulin resistance and even further decreasing intracellular magnesium. In addition, Magnesium is an important cofactor for enzymes involved in carbohydrate metabolism, so anything threatening Magnesium levels also threatens overall metabolism.

Over 68% of the Western population is Magnesium-deficient, and up to 80% of Type 2 diabetics are deficient, since they waste more Magnesium than others due to out-of-control blood sugar levels. These estimates understate the problem, since the tests used to measure Magnesium are blood, and not intracellular levels of this vital mineral. (Make sure you doctor checks your Magnesium in RBC, or with tissue analysis! Simple Serum-Magnesium is useless.)

People with diabetes also waste more Magnesium due to increased urination, due to elevated and fluctuating blood sugars, and so need to replenish their Magnesium stores constantly.

A Tufts study led by Adela Hruby found that healthy people with the highest Magnesium intake were 37% less likely to develop high blood sugar or excess circulating insulin, common precursors to diabetes. Among people who already had those conditions, those who consumed the most Magnesium were 32% less likely to develop diabetes than those consuming the least.

Iodine and Diabetes

I and other doctors, who prescribe high dose Iodine therapy for other diseases, such as breast cancer, are finding that Iodine can lower insulin and oral anti-diabetic drug requirements in their diabetic patients. Dr. Michael Donaldson says, “Iodine stabilises the heart rhythm, lowers serum cholesterol, lowers blood pressure, and is known to make the blood thinner as well, judging by longer clotting times seen by clinicians. Iodine is not only good for the cardiovascular system, it is vital. Sufficient Iodine is needed for a stable rhythmic heartbeat. Iodine attaches to insulin receptors and improves glucose metabolism. Iodine and Iodine-rich foods have long been used as a treatment for hypertension and cardiovascular disease.” It’s about time it is used for diabetes too.

Chromium and Diabetes

Performing tissue analysis on my patients, I have seen low Chromium in almost every single person with diabetes and obesity. Chromium plays an important role in the insulin-signaling pathways that allow our bodies to control the amount of glucose our cells take in, helping to balance blood sugar levels and giving us stable energy. Research also shows that Chromium can help protect DNA chromosomes from damage, which means chromium may be able to halt cell mutations that can lead to various chronic diseases. In addition, Chromium is associated with longevity and improved cardiovascular health due to its role in metabolising fats, in addition to proteins, carbs and other nutrients.

Bicarbonate and Diabetes

The pancreas is harmed, as are all organs, if the body becomes too acidic. Bicarbonate physiology is ignored in diabetes, as much as it is in the field of oncology. The pancreas is harmed if the body is metabolically acid, as it tries to maintain bicarbonates. Without sufficient bicarbonates, insulin becomes a problem. One of the reasons Magnesium Bicarbonate water is so powerful is that it addresses both Bicarbonate and Magnesium deficiencies together. Bottom line, it is a double hit to our body’s physiology when we become Magnesium and Bicarbonate deficient together.

When the pancreas loses the ability to produce enough Bicarbonate essential for the pancreatic enzymes to function properly, undigested proteins penetrate the bloodstream inducing allergic reactions and inflammation.

Diet and Diabetes

A study published in the journal Diabetologia said that a diet of just 600 calories a day reverses diabetes type 2. After one week on the diet, diabetes patients saw their blood glucose levels return to normal, indicating their diabetes had gone into remission. Similar reversals of diabetes immediately after gastric bypass surgery. Results are even quicker with a water fast.

Researchers at Newcastle University in the United Kingdom are now also showing that a quick resolution of diabetes, especially in its early years, is possible through diet alone, and so does my clinical experience, though it helps enormously if we supplement with Magnesium, Iodine, Chromium, Bicarbonate and Sulphur.

Eating meat or any other animal products, and drinking animal secretions (sorry, not sorry to make milk look as disgusting as it is) can also be a cause of diabetes, and eating an oil-free, whole-food plant-based (vegan) diet is your best weapon against diabetes, and many other diseases. Good, clean nutrition, full of phytonutrients, is so important! You cannot cure a diet-based disease with a pill or surgery! When you fix the food, you fix the problem.

Alpha Lipoic Acid

I’ve also seen fantastic results using ALA to reverse all stages of diabetes, as it helps improve insulin sensitivity, and also chelates mercury. It is also capable of regenerating several other antioxidants back to their active states, including vitamin C, vitamin E, glutathione, and coenzyme Q10. It enhances glucose uptake in type 2 adult onset diabetes, inhibits formation of AGEs (advanced glycation end products). Lipoic Acid has been used to improve diabetic nerve damage and reduce pain associated with that nerve damage.

Medical Marijuana

Professor Mike Cawthorne and the pharmaceutical giant GlaxoSmithKline believe that plant-based medicines might be the way to approach the treatment of diabetes. The particular plant they are studying is marijuana. Natural Cannabis (not synthetic pot) is an excellent anti-inflammatory that lacks the side effects of steroids, the NSAIDS, and the COX-2 inhibitors, like Vioxx. This anti-inflammatory action may help quell the arterial inflammation common in diabetes.

Cannabidiol (CBD) arrested the onset of autoimmune diabetes in NOD mice in a 2007 study. Researchers at Hadassah University Hospital in Jerusalem in 2006 reported that injections of 5 mg per day of CBD (10-20 injections) significantly reduced the prevalence of diabetes in mice from an incidence of 86 percent in non-treated controls to an incidence of only 30 percent.

Investigators reported that CBD significantly lowers plasma levels of the pro-inflammatory cykotines (proteins), INF-gamma and TNF-alpha, and significantly reduced the severity of insulitis compared to non-treated controls.

Stevia & other Rainforest Herbs

Stevia, when sourced right, is not only a great all-natural, low-calorie sweetener, but also an important part of an anti-diabetic protocol, along with a few other Rainforest herbs, due to their fantastic effects on insulin sensitivity and glucose uptake into cells.

Organic Cinnamon

Cinnamon as a treatment for diabetes gained plausibility in 2003, when a study from Alam Khan suggested several grams of cinnamon per day could lower fasting blood glucose. Khan randomized Type 2 diabetes to 1g, 3g, or 6g of cinnamon for 40 days. All three groups improved their fasting blood glucose, and blood lipid levels.


Obviously, curing diabetes is a little too complex for a blog post, so the above is not an exhaustive list of safe and effective medical interventions that can help diabetics recover from their disease.

But you must know that if you are willing to make the changes necessary on dietary levels and cmplement that with a smart protocol to back up your efforts, you can turn your back on a lifetime of suffering. It really is a choice.

And your body is SO worth it! Because it is the only place you have to live in.
